Motorway Cops & British Justice

Things that piss me off #1

British Justice

Did anyone happen to catch the episode of Motorway Cops of BBC1 the other night? To cut a long story short, they pulled over 2 Polish men and found they had thousands of pounds worth of stolen goods in their car, drugs and fake number plates.

To top it off, the one Polish chap had previous to do with fire arms.

Come the end of the program, when they summarise the punishment each of the featured cases received, I was dismayed to hear that these two Polish men, patently thieves totally lacking in respect for the laws of this country, and dangerous to boot, had been given bail, which they subsequently skipped! Unbelievable!

So, the moral of the story appears to be that if you're caught with illegal drugs and stolen goods, you are treated with leniency, but if you accidently drive through a speed camera on the A34 doing 35 you wont get such leniency.
